Curious about why I named my epic saga Draoithe? I wonder the same thing. A brief video clip explains what the term means. But it doesn’t quite lend itself to understanding what Draoithe is, exactly. So read on for more.


The meaning of Draoithe


So if it’s an immortal kingdom, what kinds of characters inhabit Draoithe? Immortals, beings with magic, humans, shifters, wizards, demons, dragons, witches, devils, angels, vampires, things you’ve read about in medieval bestiaries, and characters invented just for the nine realms. There are probably beings with magic I haven’t met yet.


What are the Nine Realms? It might be easier to show you than explain it by mere words. Some of the characters which inhabit the realms are listed.


The Realms inside the dream

There are spaces between the realms which are part of the Void, spaces surrounding the realms which are part of Infinity, and there are beings who reside outside of the dream like the elvish lords at Asylum. Are you intrigued yet? So am I.


The dream and the stories it holds continue to be revealed by the muse, and I have dutifully written and begun publishing as many of these tales as I can edit and format. At the time of writing this post (2025), there are over 30 titles published in the dream and more than double that in various stages of writing, editing, and formatting. There are 17+ miniseries and flash fiction pieces and standalone short stories.
